Operative is a thriving ad business management pioneer based out of New York City, helping companies across the globe run their digital ad businesses, from selling and delivering to reporting and billing ads. We were formed by people passionate about solving ad ops problems who saw that media companies needed help making sense of the skyrocketing growth and innovative technology flooding the digital ad world.

A category that still has a ways to go before it is fully mature, the universe of digital advertising is so vast and has so many corners to turn that we believe “talking it out” virtually through our blog is a worthwhile endeavor. Through this blog, we hope to inspire conversation, exchange creativity and bring attention to the issues shaping how media companies are interacting with consumers.

It’s an exciting time to be in our industry, and we at Operative are energized by fantastic growth.  More than 200 industry leaders rely on Operative to manage more than $6 billion in global ad revenue annually, including The Wall Street Journal, MSN, OMD, NBC Universal and National Public Media.
